The "extra Encryption" aka "Secrets" app also is not technically E2EE. It is B2BE or "browser-to-browser" encryption.

Previously, we used different languages in the same file because opening files has a cost and we were concerned about performance and resource usage. Coming from that background accounts for a lot of the quirky programming style I'm accused of today.
