EN: node9 received new board and dedicated router last week. Peertube was moved to Nvidia Jetson Nano board with 1TB SSD drive for data and backups. So the 7 months running on single Raspberry without backup is over and now we have redundancy and 8-core 10GB RAM system (excl. router) with CUDA engine which should be used for live transcoding Peertube streams. Jetson takes 10 Watts + SSD upto 5 W, Mikrotik router 3 W. Maybe this is one of the first implementations of Peertube on Jetson Nano. This will also allow more Peertube accounts. Nvidia is corporate but so is ARM and the CUDA engine can offer h264 encoding not possible on ARM core. Check it out at
https://film.node9.org and if you cannot wait write me for an account. I will configure it and announce later. Hardware encoders will be supported in the next version of Peertube. And maybe you noticed Hubzilla started to send out email notifications if you like emails. Enjoy.
