WEBDAV seams like a really cool tool to manage files on the HZ hub,
but I don´t get it to work –

On windows i can connect to the Hz folders and see all the files but I can´t copy or move any of them – drag and drop has no result.

On linux i installed dafs2 but all commands i tried don´t work… can someone help? THANKS

First, put the following line in /etc/fstab
/dav/ /home/<username>/hubzilla davfs user,noauto 0 0

Next, create ~/.davfs2/secrets and put the following in there:
/dav/ yourhubzillapassword

Change permissions:

chmod 600 ~/.davfs2/secrets

Finally, create the mount point:
mkdir ~/hubzilla

Now you can mount the storage with mount /home/<username>/hubzilla.

If you're using Gnome just open the file manager (nautilus), click '+ Other Locations' and add davs://<hostname>/dav/<username> under "Connect to Server". Put in your username/password when asked.

I had no few problems with Windows when adding the folder with "Add Network Drive", but I can't check/verify right now because I no longer use Windows. There are several other methods for mounting DAV folder in Windows and most of them don't work. In this case use https://huby.infozoo.de/dav as the network location.

The biggest problem I ran into on Windows was if I had Windows remember the password. If you ever change your password you can spend days finding the obscure command to get Windows to forget the old network drive password. It just keeps coming back with login failed but doesn't let you correct it.

Also with DAV you want to use a specific username for login, not the account email address. The email address will connect with your 'default' channel and it may not have sufficient access for copying files of your other channels.

Oh yeah, one more thing; I'm not sure about Mike's method, but for mine you'll also need to add your user account to the davfs2 group. Almost forgot.

With linux i can´t geht accsess to the folders

"HTTP- error: Moved Permanenty"

maybe its my hub and missing dns settings?

just did a test on an other hub and login worked- even so i could NOT move files
